Day-to-Day Routine

I’ve posted below what a general day looked like for me during 1st/2nd year, but once again, your days may look completely different from mine. No matter what your routine may look like, it is best to stay consistent with it. Consistency will help keep you focused in the long run and is definitely beneficial both physically and mentally.

5:30AMWake up; brush my teeth; make coffee (always a must for me)
6AM-8AMContinue taking notes from previous day; practice questions
8AM-9AMShower; get ready for the day; eat breakfast
9AM-1PMWatch lectures for the day (took 5-10 minute breaks between lectures)
1PM-1:30PMTake a break; refuel with food and coffee
1:30PM-5PMReview lectures; take notes; practice questions; finish up on any other work
5PM-6:30PMDinner; relax
6:30PM-7:30PMDo some light studying
7:30PM-8:30PMRelax; watch TV; catch up with family
8:30PM-9PMSleep

It’s important to remember that not every single day will look the same. There are going to be days when you have additional requirements to attain to or you might come across unexpected situations. At the end of the day, it’s good to keep an open-mind because there will always be situations that are out of your control and becoming frustrated will only add to the stress.

*Make sure to stay hydrated and take mini breaks between study sessions and lectures*

*Remember that each day is a fresh start*

About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Arti and I am a family medicine resident physician.

Medicine, family, baking & coffee make up my life and this blog. Enjoy!

“Arti’s Step 2CK notes were amazing. It goes well with UWorld questions. I would definitely recommend it for 3rd year.” ~CK

“Your posts and reels are super motivating, especially for an IMG like me! Thank you for all the work you do, and I hope you continue inspiring us!” ~MK

“The step 2 notes were bang on. They had all the relevant material extracted from UWorld, all important and precise stuff, with additional space to add notes if you want to. Also a very good last minute revision tool.” ~RV
