Letter of Intent

Tips:

  1. Do not write a letter of intent for every single program you interview with. This is unethical and you do not want to be caught in the lie when a program finds out you did not rank them number one.
  2. Be direct and clear. Tell them program directly that you intend to rank them as your first choice.
  3. Explain why. Talk about why you are the right fit for their program and why the program is the right fit for you. And be specific here. Talk about qualities of the program that you genuinely love and how these fit your criteria of a perfect program.
  4. Make sure you send it to the right place. Many applicants like to take the easy way out and copy/paste the same letter of intent for multiple programs. Do not be this person. Address the email properly to the correct person/committee. And email it to the correct email. I recommend sending it directly to the program director and CC’ing the program coordinator.

About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Arti and I am a family medicine resident physician.

Medicine, family, baking & coffee make up my life and this blog. Enjoy!

“Arti’s Step 2CK notes were amazing. It goes well with UWorld questions. I would definitely recommend it for 3rd year.” ~CK

“Your posts and reels are super motivating, especially for an IMG like me! Thank you for all the work you do, and I hope you continue inspiring us!” ~MK

“The step 2 notes were bang on. They had all the relevant material extracted from UWorld, all important and precise stuff, with additional space to add notes if you want to. Also a very good last minute revision tool.” ~RV
